General Assembly meeting 2015

ASF-Int FORUM and GA Meeting 2015
The Board of ASF-International would like to announce that despite all of the current difficulties, EWB-Nepal still will continue to host this year’s ASF-Int FORUM and General Assembly Meeting which will be held in Kathmandu, Nepal, from the 15th to the 20th of June 2015. The Council is to undertake a review of the initial schedule into a contribution to disaster management, including case studies and best practices.
The GA meeting will be held on Friday the 19th of June, and there will be a range of other events and seminars during the course of the week, starting with a Challenging Practice Training the Trainers course on Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th June.
There will also be the ASF Award Ceremony for the first ASF Award. In addition to these events EWB-Nepal will be hosting a seminar day (ASF Dialogue 2015) with invited and regional speakers as well as presentations from ASF-International members, and we will be running a range of site and city visits in and around Kathmandu to see the situation of the city at present, the opportunities and challenges it is facing and projects carried out by EWB-Nepal and others.

The Annual Report for 2014, a comment on the progress of the Activity Plan 2014-2016, a vision statement 2015-2025, and an economic report will be sent to members a few weeks before the event.
ASF International response to the Nepal earthquake
We are setting up a network of built environment organisations and practitioners who can provide technical support to assess needs and resources and help plan the long-term rebuilding process.
